Australian Landscape Photography Coffee Table Book by Pete Dobre

Mungo National Park is home to the ‘Walls of China’ – naturally-sculptured sand and clay formations. The park lies 110 kilometres north east of Mildura, in south west New South Wales.
This region is dotted with many dry lakes. These shallow pans, emptied of water long ago, are now filled with low tolerant scrub. A fair proportion of Mungo National Park is located on Lake Mungo – one of the chain of freshwater lakes, which was strung along Willandra Creek in early times. The creek was a main channel of the Lachlan River. It is now an ancient, dry lake bed. Ideal for landscape photography.
